Dear Phyllis, I have been following Suze Orman for years and your name kept coming up. I finally reached out to you and so did my sister. You referred us to Diane Stoddart. What a blessing she is! Here are more GREAT additional Long Term Care (LTC) planning & educational resources we received from Diane Stoddart that we found to be extremely helpful and thought you might,  too…especially the Genworth cost of care link to help you project what the long term care costs will be in whatever area you live in and for whatever timeframe you designate. We learned this is a great place from which to begin planning for Long Term Care, if you are in that process. You may already have a great LTC plan in place, which would be FABULOUS! We are only now learning about LTC planning and until I finally found Diane, I had been going down so many rabbit holes unable to find good information that explained things as well as she and her resources have done. So only passing along this info in case you are in the same boat as us, in hopes this might help save you a lot of time finding some legit info on the subject and consider possibly adding this very important protection for you and your caregiver (who we really must plan for and hope we never need)! If you have any LTC questions, I’m copying Diane Stoddart, whom you can reach out to help you through this planning process. Back in 2023, I wrote to you to share how grateful I was after Diane helped me understand my long-term care policy with UNUM. She spent generous amounts of time reviewing my documents, crafting thoughtful questions for the insurer, and supporting me every step of the way. When I spoke with her in 2023, she had me write in my UNUM folder, ” if I receive another price increase, contact Diane right away!” Well, I did just that today! Today, Diane once again went above and beyond. I just want to say thank you so much for your help in getting our Long Term Care policies. I would love to be able to send a note to your boss to let them know how great it was working with you. It is extremely difficult to understand all the intricacies involved with LTC insurance and you made everything so easy – even thousands of miles away! We had a great experience working with Diane Stoddart at LTC Financial Solutions. She provided us with much needed education on long term care products and the companies that offer them. She helped us compare policies and providers on their merits and didn’t try to “push” one company or policy over another.

In busy times, we took several months to come to a decision and another month plus to be able to fund the policy with a one-time payment. All throughout, Diane was patient and persistent in helping us get to our goal. I would recommend her to any friend contemplating a long term care plan.

I was pleased by the quotes you brought to us. When I did this for myself alone several years ago, I was quoted considerably higher prices, and hence my hesitation to try again. After speaking with you, I suspect the individual who prepared my quotes before was probably looking at total cost rather than an offset cost. We like the Genworth plan that you quoted and would like to go forward just as it is. Thanks for your common-sense approach to selecting plans and the efforts to present them. We appreciate it.

Diane made my experience getting long term care insurance so pleasant and so easy. By nature, she is easy to be with, caring and helpful. In addition, her ability to let you know what to expect all along the way was what made it even more comfortable. She is professional, experienced and knowledgeable. Judy and I would like to thank you for your help in our quest to get LTC insurance. Everything you told us worked out just as you said it would. We have reviewed the policies and everything looks as you said it would. It has been a pleasure working with you on this and the cost of the policies you got us was way less than other companies. The quote from our local AARP representative was about $2500.00 more than what you negotiated for the same coverage from Mutual of Omaha. We will certainly recommend you to anyone we come across looking for insurance.

Long Term Care claims can be difficult to understand, and Diane has been here all the way through to ensure that claims continue to be paid. We understand the coverage we have and how it will protect us and our assets because Diane continues to guide us and answer our questions along this difficult path. In 2003, when Diane promised to be here when needs arise, I didn’t regard the importance of that statement. Today, she is still here as she promised, and she helps keep my head from spinning through this mess.
